If you are looking for a festival

that provides insight into the

history of agriculture, stop by the

Howard County Living Farm Heritage

Museum during their annual Farm Heritage Days event

in September and see live harvesting and blacksmith

demonstrations plus watch the Maryland High School

Rodeo. Environmental education experiences are plentiful

at the Howard County Conservancy. Last, be sure to mark

the calendar for Central Maryland Research and Education

Center’s Open House in October to learn more about

what is happening today in agriculture, partake in hayrides

around the farm and taste great locally produced food!

There is always something to do on the farm

in the fall, so come one come all and make

autumn memories to last a lifetime.

DIRECTIONS

Place the raisins in a small dish and cover

with hot water. Let the raisins soak for

30 minutes. Once the raisins are plump,

drain and place into a mixing bowl with

the apple and pumpkin. Pour in the lemon

juice and toss to coat. Season to taste

with salt and pepper, serve right away.

INGREDIENTS
