aryland’s beer industry is taking
leaps and bounds in the direction of
homegrown ingredients. Farmhouse
breweries are emerging throughout different
regions. Maryland’s craft beer industry is fueled
with excitement as more and more farms are
growing hops, fruits, and grains they can use
in their beer. Many farms have transformed
themselves into farmhouse breweries as well.
The reason behind all the excitement and buzz
lies in the fact that Maryland craft beer can
now be produced on farms, using at least one
homegrown, fresh-off-the-farm ingredient.
A trip to the taproom of a farmhouse brewery
might also consist of a tour through the hops
field. The farm breweries have acres of different
varieties of hops and fruits that they use to craft
their beer. Craft beer lovers are experiencing their
home state’s beer in its best and truest form.
It is no doubt that new farm breweries are
emerging. Highlighted in this section are
