Howard County is known for its diversity, and we celebrate it with a multitude of religions

and holidays.With each holiday, there are traditional dishes that can utilize farm-fresh

ingredients.

No matter the meal, there are farms in Howard County that can supply appropriate

ingredients.WagonWheel Ranch, located in Mt. Airy, offers a variety of free-range beef,

lamb, goat and pork. Likewise,Triadelphia Lake View Farm, Clark’s Never Sell the Land Farm,

Brendel’s Farms, Inc., Hensing’s Hilltop Acres and Carroll Farm-to-Table are all Howard

County Farms offering a variety of home-grown meat products.There are a number of

farms selling produce year round. Crops such as apples, potatoes, ginger and asparagus

are all late fall crops that often can still be found in time

for the holidays. Other produce, such as berries,

cherries, tomatoes, okra and beans, are all
