WINTER BEERS

KEVIN ATTICKS

I love Ruhlman

Brewing’s Milk Stout

because it’s deep,

rich, yet hoppy… and

absolutely delicious.

REBECCA DULKA

Snow Pants Oatmeal

Stout by Union Craft

Brewery! Because

it goes with all my

favorite winter

comfort foods like

mac n’ cheese and

a hearty stew.

This winter we encourage you to try out different local stouts and winter lagers to

find your favorite!

Staff's

JANNA HOWLEY

Heavy Seas Winter Storm,

because it pairs really, really

well with roasted meats

and cheeses, and makes a

great hearty dinner beer.

CALLIE PFEIFFER

Lil’ Ben’s Milk Stout by

Antietam Brewery. This ale

made from pure milk sugar,

with hints of roasted coffee

and silky chocolate, would

be perfect during the winter

accompanied by s’mores

in front of a warm fire.

Each winter, I look forward

to Brewer’s Art St. Festivus

Holiday Ale – the notes

of orange peel and ginger

lure me back time and time

again. Last fall, Monument

Brewing released a Wood

Stove Imperial Stout. It

was big and bold with

roasted malt and hints of

caramel, chocolate and

smoke. And at 10%, it’s

the perfect thing to keep

you warm. Hoping they

bring that back this year!

S

itting inside on a chilly winter

day, we all try to stay warm.

What is best to pair with your

favorite comfort food to eat by

a crackling fire? We wanted to

know our staff’s favorite Maryland stout or

winter lager that helps keep them warm.
