inter is coming, and so are the dark and
heavy brews. Malty, balanced, spiced and
generally sweeter, the winter-style beers
will warm you to the core while keeping
your taste buds satisfied. Most people have
a specific coloring and aroma that pop into their minds as
soon as the words “winter beer” are spoken, but in the past
five or so years, the seasonal beer scene has changed.
While most beer enthusiasts believe that as the temperature
drops, the color of the beer should darken and the texture should
thicken, recent years have shown a spike in the hoppy IPA winter
