Build a Fairy House
Ages 9-12 with a parent; 90 min. Registration
and signed release form required. From
Folktales to Tolkien, Children’s Literature is
aflutter with fairy activity. In this workshop
with Lisa Greenhouse from the Children’s
Department of the Enoch Pratt Free Library/
State Library Resource Center parents will
work alongside their children to construct
top-flight fairy accommodations using natural
materials and modeling clay. Although plenty
of materials will be provided, we encourage
families to spend time in advance of the
workshop collecting materials from nature such
as twigs, shells and leaves to bring to class.
