These improvements may include the installation of grab bars and railings,

widening of doorways and installation of ramps, etc. These types of home

improvements allow many individuals to remain in their home and maintain their

independence. Some modifications may even qualify for a tax deduction. The

following programs may offer some assistance for making home accessible:
