Bicycle riders, hikers, runners and

horseback riders will want to explore

the NCR Trail, a fabulous recreational

resource that runs through some of

the County’s prettiest territory. The

trail runs along the Gunpowder River

and state parkland, ending at the

Mason-Dixon line with further trail

access to York, PA.

Catonsville Rails to Trails offers an

extensive network of trails which are

open to the public and utilize former

railroad lines.

One of the best ways to experience

the beauty of the Chesapeake

Bay and its tributaries is to get

in and on the water. Ultimate

Residents and visitors alike sing the praises of central

Maryland’s climate – and with good reason. For folks

who enjoy the great outdoors, our area offers four

distinct seasons to fully enjoy nature’s beauty.

Watersports offers kayaking, sailing,

windsurfing, and stand-up paddle boarding

for both novices and experienced water

enthusiasts at two locations in Gunpowder

State Park and another at Sunset Cove.

Ladew Gardens

Visitors need only meander through the 22

acres of gardens, tour the historic Manor

House, visit the seasonal Butterfly House,

or hike along the nature walk to appreciate

the unique beauty and charm of Ladew
