Boordy Vineyards

Maryland’s oldest family-run winery,

established in 1945 and operated by the

Deford family, stretches over a 240-acre

farm in Long Green Valley. The winery

is housed in a 19th century stone barn

whose walls provide an ideal environment

for wine production and aging. A newly

constructed winery (2013) mirrors the

stone barn, as Boordy expands along

with the ever-growing wine industry in

Baltimore County.

DeJon Vineyards

DeJon Vineyards is located a short dis-

tance from Boordy Vineyards. The more

than 20-acre property provides the

perfect setting for DeJon’s regionally-

recognized wines. DeJon Vineyards is a

family-owned and -operated winery that

opened in June 2010. Previously a farm,

Author and sportsman Ernest Hemingway observed, “Wine is the

most civilized thing in the world.” If that’s true, then Baltimore

County and its outstanding wineries and vineyards offer wine

lovers a civilized and inviting place to visit. Experience a variety

of award-winning and hand-crafted wines at any of our seven

family-owned wineries, all within a short drive of each other.
