Jaffres’ lifelong passion for food and cooking started early, when in his
teenage years he knew that he wanted to be a master chef; as a result,
he immersed himself in culinary training and apprenticeships. Chef Jaffres
worked at eight locations in France, and six restaurants in Washington
DC and the DC metro area. In 2004 he was inducted into the prestigious
L’Academie Culinaire de France, whose mission is to “carry on the great
tradition of culinary excellence and science.” In addition to international
recognition, Chef Jaffres also engages in local community support; he cur-
rently teaches after-school culinary classes to students at Mother Catherine
Academy in Mechanicsville.
With his wife, Karleen, Chef Jaffres has created a unique taste of France
in a historic and beautiful area of St. Mary’s County. While on the Patuxent
Wine Trail, make sure to stop by, relax, and
enjoy this culinary gem. Salud! Contact them or
