The County’s Office on Aging and
Independence, part of Community
Resources and Services, plans, advocates,
develops and coordinates programs
for older adults, their caregivers
and family members. The Office on
Aging and Independence provides

for older adults and adults with

centers and therapeutic social day care.
Offerings include a wide variety of programs
and services including fitness programs,
educational opportunities, art, music,
wellness classes and such recreational
activities as games, clubs and more.
The Office on Aging and Independence
operates six Senior Centers throughout the
county, with a range of offerings, such as
nutrition, therapeutic programs for those
who have additional support needs, and
a club for those recently diagnosed with
dementia. All centers provide a midday meal
for individuals 60 and over. Membership
is free, but registration is required.
