The Police Department partners with the Howard County

Office on Aging and Independence and AAA Mid-Atlantic

to offer CARFIT to help seniors adapt their vehicles to their

changing needs. The Senior Laison also offers educational

programs in partnership with the Office on Consumer Affairs

on theft, shopping safety, personal safety, home security

and other topics.

groups working together to meet the crime safety needs

of seniors.

violent crime victims, providing resources and referrals as

well as follow-up information.

Volunteers take their program approved pets to visit a

variety of different locations within Howard County sharing

the affection of their pet with the very young to senior adults

all the while touching hearts, one visit at a time.

Partnerships with the Police Department help keep our Cycle2Health riders safe during all their rides.
