While we specialize in
services driven by the
person with the disability,
we can assist caregivers in
several ways:
APPLICATION ASSISTANCE
:
Completing paperwork is a necessity
when working within systems that
support people in the community.
This paperwork can often times be
confusing. We are here to help you to
complete the paperwork so that you
get it right the first time.
SYSTEMS NAVIGATION:
Understanding support systems
available to the person you are
caring for can be the difference
between receiving the right sup-
ports or the wrong supports. We can
assist in navigating the systems to
find the best fit.
ASSISTIVE TECHNOLOGY:
Funding is available to help with
purchasing assistive technology
(ramps, communication devices,
vehicle modifications, lifts, etc.) and
completing minor home modifica-
tions to enhance accessibility. If you
don’t qualify for our funding, we can
assist you in finding another source
to finance your assistive technology
and home modifications.
INFORMATION AND REFERRAL:
Sometimes it is hard to find resourc-
es and knowing who to call can be
difficult. As disability experts, we can
provide information to you about
disability related issues and refer
you to appropriate resources.
FUTURE PLANNING:
What happens when you are no
longer able to provide support?
We can help to explore differ-
ent options for providing support
that keeps your loved one in the
community and as independent
as possible.
