coping with the frustrations of parenthood

or who abuse or neglect their children.

Purchase of Care Program

Provides financial assistance with childcare costs

to eligible working families. Families receive a

voucher from DSS to take to childcare provider

of their choice indicating the DSS subsidiary

and the parental-assigned co-payment. DSS

subsidiary is paid directly to the provider.

Temporary Cash Assistance is a part of Maryland’s

Temporary Assistance to Needy Families (TANF)

program and provides cash assistance to families

with dependent children when available resources

do not fully address the family’s needs. Eligible

citizens may apply in person at the Department of

Social Services or online at www.mydhrbenefits. dhr.state.md.us/dashboardClient/#/home

Assistance Program (TDAP)
