Dear Readers,

Thanks for picking up a copy of the Fall/Winter 2016

Maryland Wine Press

.

Fall in the vineyard is my favorite time of year. The crisp air and

changing leaves set a perfect scene for visitors to experience

Maryland in a peaceful setting. With the summer heat settled

down for the new fall season, grab a light jacket and head up to

your local winery for a warm red wine.

Our Passport Experience in February was a huge success,

bringing visitors to wineries across the state. Many wineries

offered preview tastings of reds from barrels, while others

offered fun, artful experiences to warm visitors in mid-winter.

Our events keep diversifying to showcase all that Maryland

wine has to offer. The sixth annual Winter Wine will be held at

the B&O Railroad Museum in Baltimore during January 2017.

This edition of

Maryland Wine Press

focuses on our newest

and our oldest, highlighting the future of Maryland wine and

how we got here from our humble beginnings. Find out why we

love Maryland wine and all it truly has to offer.

Over 65 of our wineries are open for tastings and tours, and

many offer special events throughout the year. Check out our

winery and event listings on

www.Marylandwine.com

for

hours, directions and more.

We hope you enjoy this edition of the

Wine Press

.

Cheers,

Kevin Atticks
