EXPLORE, HIKE OR BIKE

NaturalWonder

HOME TO THREE OF

Maryland’s popular state parks,

natural beauty and outdoor adventure abound in Harford

County. Waterfalls, rock formations, and hundreds of

bird species can be spotted along our parks and trails,

perfect for your exploration. What’s more, most of these

attractions can be enjoyed for free or a small donation.

Eight miles north of Bel Air,

Rocks State Park

is

situated on 850 acres bordering Deer Creek. A

popular feature is the throne-like rock formation

called the King and Queen Seats where, according to

legend, Indian Chieftains once sat in tribal council.

Enjoy rock climbing, picnicking, hiking, tubing,

canoeing, fishing and seasonal bow hunting.

Kilgore Falls at the Falling Branch Area

is just 5 miles

north of Rocks State Park and is one of Harford’s

most beloved spots! Hike a half mile to the second

highest vertical waterfall in Maryland that was

featured in the Disney movie

Tuck Everlasting

.
