ome to more farms than any other county in Maryland,

Frederick holds gems for the brewery and beer lover.

With top name brands and the classic downtown feel

of the good ole’ days, is there a better place to enjoy

and indulge in hand-crafted, locally made beers? No.

Western Maryland has long been a destination for many travelers.

From Deep Creek Lake, to the Appalachian Trail, to the spunky

cities of Hagerstown and Frederick, there is not a boring spot.

Housing ten different members of the Brewers Association of

Maryland, Western Maryland’s recent population boom has

enjoyed the benefits of the farm-to-table tradition with the

delicious stylings of Antietam Brewery, Smoketown Brewing

Station, Olde Mother Brewing Company, Mad Science Company,

Brewer’s Alley, Barley And Hops Grill & Microbrewery, Flying

Dog Brewery, Monocacy Brewing Company, Milkhouse Brewery

at Stillpoint Farm, Frey’s Brewing Company, Cushwa Brewery

and Red Shedman Farm Brewery & Hop Yard. The area is also

looking forward to the opening of Midnight Run Brewery.
