craft as you watch. The 140-acre
property also offers numerous
outdoor exhibits. Jack and Jim,
our oxen, are here April through
October along with poultry, pigs
and other animals. The Museum
offers a nature trail, playground and
picnic tables. We welcome families,
school tours and other groups. Kids
enjoy our Living History Camp each
July. Join us for tea at various times
throughout the year. Traditional
arts classes including blacksmithing
are also offered. Special events
include The Maryland Wine
Festival®, Carroll County’s biggest
Fourth of July Celebration and
Fall Harvest Days. Our Reception
Barn and pavilions are available for
weddings, reunions, church picnics
and other private gatherings.
